TokyoTako is a fictional restaurant inspired by Japanese street food vendors & izakayas, or late night pubs. The name TokyoTako is inspired by a popular street food called takoyaki: “tako” meaning octopus and “yaki” meaning fried in Japanese. I envisioned TokyoTako to have a lively atmosphere, promoting an energetic night- life & valuing affordability. The designs for this brand reflects TokyoTako’s hip, bright, and energetic vibe with its colors red and yellow as well through the repetition of circles, representing its bubbly atmosphere.
